Since March 2020, COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) brought major changes in treatment of patients in all fields of medicine across Slovakia. Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment are checked by an orthodontist once in 4 - 6 weeks. A range of measures has eliminated stagnation of treatment due to cancelled check-ups, postponed start of treatment and other adverse effects of the pandemic on orthodontic practice. Whilst these measures changed the entire practice, they did enable us to treat patients. Many remain in use until today.
