Prekancerózne hereditárne a nehereditárne biele plochy ústnych slizníc

Rakovina ústnej dutiny je šiestym najčastejšie sa vyskytujúcim typom rakoviny v celosvetovom meradle. Včasná detekcia zhubných lézií je vysokou prioritou na zníženie počtu úmrtí v dôsledku rakoviny ústnej dutiny. Výskyt bielych plôch v ústnej dutine je nezriedka neprehliadnuteľným symptómom predpovedajúcim vznik alebo už indikujúcim karcinóm. Tento príspevok je preto venovaný charakterizácii vybraných prekanceróznych hereditárnych a nehereditárnych bielych plôch na slizniciach ústnej dutiny.

Precancerous hereditary and non-hereditary white patches of oral mucosa

Oral cancer is the sixth most common type of cancer worldwide. Early detection of malignant lesions is a high priority for reducing the number of deaths due to oral cavity cancer. The occurrence of white patches in the oral cavity is often a symptom of suspected or already indicated carcinoma. This paper describes characteristics of selected precancerous hereditary and non-hereditary white patches of the oral cavity.
