Computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) is becoming more and more frequent in the fabrication of dentures. This introduces a new era in removable prosthodontics. CAD/CAM systems for digital dentures are being developed with the promise of eliminating the challenges and errors of traditionally fabricated dentures. The purpose of this article is the presentation of the step-by-step procedure of manufacturing a digital denture and to summarize its features comparing to a denture fabricated conventionally.

Keywords: digital prosthodontics, CAD/CAM, rapid prototyping, three-dimensional printing, milling
